I've decided on 17" alloys, how far can i lower it if the tyres are 205/40/17"? its got standard spec arch's

I think 40's the max without having to buy new shocks.

Yeah I wouldnt recommend more than a 40mm drop on just springs, better to go for springs and shocks if you can though, just gives a better ride and handling improves loads.

i put 40mm spriungs on with 17s (205/40/17) but its came down about 50mm...

How much does it cost for a 'good' set of lowering springs, and how much would it cost to get them professionaly fitted - as i dont fancy doing it myself

apex are about 80 pounds
and chuck a mechanic 20 quid to fit them
