I'm running a kenwood amp drawing a maximum of 40amps, a vibe amp drawing and maximum of 25amps, and then my headunit amp which has a 10amp fuse in. On a starry nite with my headlights on and music up full should I be better off with a more powerful battery than my standard corsa one, basically would the sound quality be better?. The battery in the car is rated at 180amp/hrs. I'm drivin a 1.2 16v Sxi btw.
Responses appreciated ppl

You wont notice a diference in sq but you will notice the difference when you are phoning the AA cos youre battery is dead. Best soloution is upgrade to a 70A altenator and a 65/70Ah battery out a different vauxhall... However you should just about be ok with what you have.

Your battery is much more likely to be rated at around 20 to 30 Ah (not amps per hour). This is only an indication of capacity and not its ability to cope with load. A good quality 'entertainment' or diesel battery will have a much lower terminal resistance and be suitable for such a large load.
Tomas is right to tell you to upgrade your alternator to cope with your ICE and anyone pointing out that Corsas with aircon have uprated batteries would be on the money too.
