how old does a car have to be for this to apply?
is it just the age of the car that matters?

dont quote me but it all depends on your car, is its a rearer car (ie ferari..whatever.) it can be called a classic car after a few years from registration.
my dad owns a 1 year old mexican beetle (old beetle style but built last year 2001) this qualifys as a classic car and is limited by the insurance to 3500 miles a year.
hope this helps but its really confussing and as i say depends from company to company.
