Anyone ever sat a police or fire brigade entrance exam?

If so how tough are they

Entry to both services isn't just one exam. The entire process is very long and difficult. Your answer - very.

i enterd for the fire brigade and passed the exams.
the tests are:
bleep test you need level 13
go up a 4 sory ladder and do a no handed stance thing
craul threw a maze with brething aparatus on and a fog mask
and some wight lifts and a grip test.
the wrighten tests are hard a maths one which i thought was quite eazy but i am good at maths and a wrighten on which i actually failed but i am disylexic so i had allowences and that ment i passed it.
i don't work for them thow got a diferent job befor my training date started so i stuck with that

The written tests for Fire Brigade ar quite hard...Maths yeah was not so difficult.Alot about angles of ladders etc..

I failed my dictation test lol......Was writting so fast when he was reading it out.didn't relise he was going to repeat it.
Have to perfect vision...thats the 1st test they give u.

whats level 13 on the bleep test? the best i ever got was 119

that would be level 11.9 i guess there are 12 stages to each level.

Ive just passed my final interview for police, the initial entrance exam wasn't that bad i found althought the waiting for them to mark it and come back out was hell as i thought i had fluuffed it but once they told me i had passed thats when i thought it wasnt as bad as i first thought
