who cares, 0-60 is such a lame ass way of measuring a cars performance, in gear times and 0-100 is much better

hehe yeh but 0-100 for slower cars = terrible
i.e. 1.2 8v 0-100 time = infinity as it'll never reach it
my car pulls pretty well to 50 mph, then ok to 60 then fair to 70 and a bit slow to 80 and even slower to 90 and crawls to 100 and then crawls to whatever over 100 depending on the size of the hill I'm going down
so where my 0-60 may be 11.5-12 secs, the 0-100 is probably like 4 minutes

ok 30-50 50-70 etc.. at the end of the day u could have a car which accelerates well upto 60 then has nothing left, pretty pointless but u get where im coming from. in gear times is where the majority of people do there driving anyway.

Well in theory its 90 mph, but don't forget thats on the flat - so if your going down hill it may be higher + also your speedo may be inacurate so it's likely you'll see over 100 mph on your clocks in the 1.2 8v at some point...
same way I saw 117 mph on my clocks - I wanted it to say 120 though
hehe - was probably doing about 106 though, oh well

mate has one on 17's kit etc.. i cruised past him at 80 on my speedo and his wouldnt go any quicker, just goes to prove how much kits and rims affect performance, i get a lot better mpg since i changed from huge to suble body kit and from 17's too 16's.

Is that at max rpm, or lack of grunt? 80 seems fine to me

lack of grunt, I dunno about the 1.2 8v - but the gearbox in the sxi goes to 135 mph apparently - but won't get there since it's a bitch...

I got 8.7 seconds from my Sport 1.6. Timed using Garmin GPS. Just a drilled airbox and K&N panel filter.
The Corsa 1.2 8v does eventually reach 96mph as its top speed on a FLAT surface. But 0-60 is something in the region of 18 seconds
