Q) I have a corsa sri on 15" alloys, 45 series profiles tyres, but with a offset of 35!!!!!!
I'm looking to lower my corsa, at last, and wanted to slam it by 45mm
I need to know whether i'll get any rubbing on this setup.

yes you can do it, you wont be able to carry more than two in the back though, and you'll need uprated shocks also
you need to rubber mallet the inner arch, or at the very most stick a spacer on the bottom stub axle bolt that will give the rears a bit of camber

Are the 6.5" wide or 7" wide rims?

I lowered mine 60mm on 195x45x15's which were et38... Had to knock the inside of the rear arches out a bit with a hammer & shave the arch-bolts to stop it all rubbing, as even with no-one in the back going over the slightest bump caused it to rub.
You may be ok with a 45 drop, but I'd still shave the bolts for the rear & front arches & glue the arches on with mastik or something (canae remember what is proper stuff to use)

Gambit I was able to have a 3 people in the back of the car with no problems after I smacked the inside arch out a bit & it never rubbed since - maybe I hit it a bit too hard

whitter, your tyres are the problem, u really need 195/45's as these dont have the bulgy tyrewalls like the 195/50's have

all the advise given in this thread is really good, when i asked about lowering on et 38 all the replies i got were....dont bother lowering and buy new wheels...not very helpful when you've just spent £400 on wheels!!

you only get people who dont understand offsets tell you not to go anything other than et45-49
there is tolerances with wheel & tyre packages

I have 15x6.5 wheels with 195-45-15 tyres dropped 50mm at the back and 85mm at the front on spax coilovers. The rears needed pulled out about 20mm each side at the back and the top 2 bolts taken out. The fronts needed pulled out about 30mm each side with the top 2 bolts taken out. I can still get full lock and it doesnt rub (that much!)

Flame what offset? 20mm at the rear!! 30mm at the front!! Are they like ET10 or something? My ET40 with 195/45/15 rubber 6.5 wide rims went down easily that low with JUST arch bolt removal!!
