yes you can.... start, control panel, add/remove programs, add/remove windows components then untick internet explorer

lol i just opened it and was going to but didnt. looked about right to me, maybe search would help? from the start menu?

IE6 is heavily integrated with XP... its a complete bitch to remove it, and to install IE5 on an OS which isn't supported, just gona give you grief

stick with IE6, or just use Mozilla or Opera, etc...
