Right currently i am working three days a week, sunday, thursday and friday. But have been offered a full-time mon-fri job elsewhere.
Now for the new job, they wan't me to start asap, two week being ideal, but a week being even better.
But, my current job my boss says i have to give 4 weeks notice, i can't as i won't get this job, i get paid on the last working day (friday 28th) and my mum says to just leave on the 28th and not go back, that means ive been paid for that month, and she reckons the can't take any action against me what so ever??
Cheers

No they can't, just quit. What are they really going to do, give you a bad reference.....so what you have a new job lined up.
Have you got any holidays left?? You could book 2 weeks holidays at where you are now, then quit in 2 weeks and have 2 weeks holiday whilst starting work at the new place, get taxed harsh on first pay because of 2 jobs but keeps people happy.
But personally I would just leave after they have paid you.

Yea i only have 1 day holiday left anyway so don't give a toss about that, but i phoned up today as i wenrt working to tell them ive been offered a new job, and asked how many weeks notice i need to give, thinking it would be two weeks coz of bein part time. So when i write my notice shall i just put two weeks, instead of the four they told me??

They can now actually... as stated above. By receiving compensation for work carried out you are agreeing to the contract of employment... they COULD sue you fro breach of contratc... not likely IMO but they could give you a bad referecne... that is important as u new job may want one from ur previous job an they wont be impressed if they see u jus bailed out on an employer... talk it thru with current manager...

you wont have to give 4 weeks bloody notice for working 3 days a week .
Give them 2 weeks if your feeling generous. I worked 5 days a week and gave 1 weeks notice

If my memory serves me correctly, for every year you have worked there you have to give a weeks longer notice unless otherwise written into a SIGNED contract ie
upto 1 years work = 1 weeks notice
upto 2 years work = 2 weeks notice
upto 3 years work = 3 weeks notice
more than 3 years = 4 weeks notice
Ring ACAS tho they will tell you where you stand

Write them a letter saying:
Dear Sirs,
As of the Xth January I will no longer be working for you. I will not be working my notice and I do not require a reference.
Yours Sincierly, Gary.

Just walk out
ask for a referance , if they say no just say ok and walk out anyhow!
Its also illegal for them to give you a bad referance, they can only refuse
