you could use two modems ,but i dnt think tha is the only way ,like scott sed ,you can use a router,which i am yet to find out about .

www.ebuyer.com do really cheap routers with hubs built in, and you can get 10mb netowrk cards off tne net for £2 or £3 each. Ive got a router and 3 PCs running here. My router wasnt that easy to set up cos it has a telnet interface, but most of the new ones have HTTP set up, so it looks like a website and you just enter in the details. Definately worth it

in our house we av NTL 600K broadband with 8 port hub nd ethernet cards in each of our 5 computers
the ethernet cards are 10/100mbs i fink but i think we use win route to split the connection

4 port 100Mbit switch (hub) with stateful inspection (good) firewall, etc, etc...
What you do though all depends on the broadband connection you've got -- if it's cable then it's easy as you'll have an Ethernet port on the back of your modem.
If you're with BT it will probably only have a USB socket. You'd then need to either change your modem to one with an Ethernet socket too, or buy one of the routers which includes a ADSL modem.

Wireless is good if there's not too many thick walls about -- you get upto 54Mbps with the latest 802.11g wireless devices. Wired it still much faster networking, so i'd only recommend wireless if running the cables, or mobility, is a problem

That would be fine if your modem has an RJ-45 socket on it, which being BT, I doubt it...

Yeah USB ones are much more expensive... You're looking at something like a Linksys BEFSRU31 for a complete single-box solution...

That Netgear is still only RJ45 to modem...
As you've already got the modem (can you confirm it's only got a USB connection on it?) I'd definitely recommend the Linksys BEFSRU31... I use a Linksys at home and never had a single issue -- including more advanced usage...
