i have a bfo on my 1.2 8v. All i can say is get one. its sounds so good. Power wise there may be a little decrease in power only noticable when starting off after being stopped in traffic

it will loose your car acceleration as it does not maintain the pressure that use to be created in the old box. thats why most people just drill the box

i have just had my car on rolling road with a viper and there was approx 10 bhp increase
buttttttttt
i had a good chat with the guy and he said it really is a performance filter. at the end of the day no disrespect to 1.2 owners but u really arnt goin to gain any power that just isnt there sorry
but if its for the right money then go for it

the only sound it makes is a whistle from the air intake pipe as it sucks air in

i have heard viper's are not loud. As kerry said they are a performance filter so the emphasis is on power increase rather than noise. The bfo is loud cos its f**king huge. My guess for power increase-u would be lucky to get 2bhp (if that) judging off what kerry got off her 2.5 v6

in my opinion get a decent air feed to ure air box and a decent panel filter if u want optimum air intake
if u want noise drill ure airbox or get a bfo

is what louder - the viper or the BFO. i would imagine drilled airbox is louder than the viper and the bFO is louder still

i dont know why people are so concerned with sound from an air filter
if u want sound and performance get a decent zorst system that with a good performance filter and u are laffing
