I know a bloke who has spent a serious amount of money with Prism sticking a blower on a VTS and never reached anywhere near 300bhp!!!

he was running extra injectors, and some serious boost if i remember rightly too!

wont believe that one untill i see the graph!

agreed, even if it did have 300bhp its a Saxo VTS and would have serious issues getting the power to the ground!

0-60 in no less than 5.5 me thinks

not saying it does the 0-62 in less than 5 secs but theres a 240 ish bhp Corsa that did it in sub 5 isnt there. Was in Revs or something, in fact think the owners a member on here. So why not a Saxo!!

That was a 2.1 16v. Lucky B's corsas. Corsa Vs Saxo day done by Redline and myself. 0-60mph in 4.97 seconds.

Fastest Saxo (8v supercharged) hit is in about 6.3/6.4. Was runninga roudn 180-190bhp.

We were meant to have a SERIOUSLY tuned (Turbo) 1.6 16v running around 270bhp. This thing had a hell of a spec sheet though, bit like Andy Hamiltons 1.6 16v on here. He blew the gearbox the week before the event though and couldn't get another one sorted out in time. Such a shame, was really looking forwared to seeing it get some good times

Missed out on a 2.0 turbo corsa, a new Z20LET Corsa (Supposidally Beardy was meant to know someone, nothing came of it though).

theres a fella round my way with a 2 tone blue and silver 250bhp vts turbo and his qtr mile times were in the 15s because even on 17s he just couldnt get the power down

goes through gearboxes like!!!

I think their's more to this 12.88 1/4 mile Saxo than meets the eye.....

I'm not saying in was a timing error or anything, far from it.

Its turbo'd after all, all you need to do is turn up the fuel/boost and if it lasts for one run "hey presto" you've got a good time!

Time will tell if we see it perform similar times ever again...
