Thats what i thought at first but the faded bit is inbetween the 2 strips of double sided tape. Almost seems like the clearcoat was put on after the rubstrips???

Mine had a strip down the middle when I took the rub strip off, might mean your car has had a respray sometime?

£200 for doors to be resprayed, you might beable to get cheaper if you look around?, see if they can sort it with a buffer first.

Looks like the adhesive, just get some cellulose thinners and rub the pooy stuff off, takes abit of elbow grease, but comes off. then polish it up and it'll be fine

My mates pre97 rubstrips did the same. He tried everything to get the faded bit to go away but had no luck.
Still hadn't sorted it by time he sold the Corsa.

Thats what mine were like. I have the rub strips painted up, so i can chuck them on if i choose, but I think i'm gonna find the time to get the doors painted, cos its much better without them.

Mate go to vauxhall and buy some new rub strips, they wont cost much, then get your bodyshop to spray them up, it looks better like that than having no rub strips IMO.

I can supply you with the strips and spray em too if you like.

mate used a drill wiv a special rubber block attached 2 it which lifts off the glue, buffers up ur paint and does no damage wot so eva 2 the paint work.
hope that helps.

The faded line is the same as what I got when I removed my rub strips, cant do out about it without getting it resprayed thats for sure.

Best idea is like people have said get some rub strips and spray em up.
