i very much doubt it has as a 2l turbo cally engine is a straight forward transplant, i feel your mate was either lying or got lied too.

well if you looked at the block it would be transverse (is that right?) and should have cosworth indented on the rocker cover a dead give away. Did you not care to look?

But why did he do that Kris
And it proly would've been either a c20xe with a coscat head or a c20let (and he got mixed up cos' it was a 2l turbo?)
Sum fella in ccc put subaru imprezza running gear (4x4 system too) in a focus

If he thought he had a cossie engine then i very much doubt he had anything over a 1.2
If you had a cossie engine in your corsa, u'd know everything about it!

No daimo I think he means his mate toil d him that this lad had a cossie engine (not his actual mate) but yeah if the lad who owns the car ios telling everyone it's cossie engined he's probably a big bull shitter and it probably is a 1.poo

YEs, i think the same.
A few of us looked into this a few years back. Would have been at least £7500 for fitting and box. (Martin Hadland price for Lee Manning (mate of Martins))

it would have been if he had paid cos it took him 3 months and he did engine remanufacturing as a living at the time.
he did it because they didnt make a td senator and he fancyed one. it was a vw transporter 2.4 straight 6 tdi which he fettled with severly, had a fuck off huge fmic and was running 2.4 bar boost. fucking quick, much faster than the 3l 12v it replaced. he mated it up to the vaux auto gearbox too.
