Apparently these have to be removed to fit a few aftermarket fibreglass kit.
fault in design I guess...
But AK is right about the rest!

yeh you do have to take them off if you want to fit the psg combat 2, most other kits just fit snugly over the bar

probably overlooked.... or maybe not an actual written MOT requirement.....
some test stations would fail it if they noticed tho....

this i believe also applies to original combat front, any of the fibrglass kits based off it, i.e karnage, impact, aggressor, etc

cut the towing eye of!! and weld 2 m16 nuts onto the side of the chassis rail,
then you get a threaded bar with a loop on and can thread this into the nuts, that way you have just a small 16mm hole in your mesh and looks so much better!!

sod that, you seen what happens to a corsa with one on in a front end crash??? you would be dead if you hit something with it off, the engine will end up in the passengers compartment. plus if the insurance guy spots it missing, ure well and truely fucked.
oh and dont fit the mesh first, it makes it a really pain to spray if you do.

exactly, its not really wise to take the crash bar off, as it serves a purpose!
think adam mentioned it somewhere in his first post
