I was looking at the instructions last night on how to fit them, when i get round to it,
What does it mean by chamfering something, and it says the bolts are for a 1.4 + 1.6 8v not 16V have i got the right ones

Yeah, same ones.
Think ur meant to chamfer the holes in the con rod, probably to prevent any stress points.
Didn't notice Velos do any chamfering when they fitted mine though, mind u, i wasnt lying on the floor in all the crap to see well enough.

LOL if and when i ge me car back i gotta fit me new manifold so thought it was the perfect oppotunity to fit them myself, just seeing if its a hard job of not

Well ul need a diecent torque wrench cos uve got to torque them 4 times aint it?
I wouldn't want to fcuk it up!
Its only bout 10 bolts in the sump, change 4 bolts, put it in gear to turn the engine 180deg and do the other 4.
Ul probably have more problems with the exhaust studs!
Buy spares from vaux before you start, only 50p each!

LOL the engine has only been in the car a week so the exhaust nuts are nice and easy to undo, my mechanic actually sheared 2 off and had to drill it out and put a bolt through

You chamfer the holes in the caps to suit the bolts, which have a little radius under the head for strength. Good luck!
