I put a de-cat on my 1.4 16v Sport - running PVD BFO induction kit and a scorpion 3" system - got 105.5 bhp which is pretty good.
Made the car sound like a valver although the 17"'s slowed it down slightly.

mines a piper de-cat,
this is my engine spec so far-
PiperX Viper induction kit,
Lexmaul inlet manifold,
Ecotek Valve,
Scropion Grp A cat back system,
super chip,
and thats running at 109bhp, so the de-cat will make a good bit of difference, seems as Chris Bingham is at 105.5bhp with the mods he listed!? i shud get about 112bhp?

Mav has a 1.6 16v by the way.
Mine was a piper de-cat. You have more engine mods than me but not that far away in BHP terms. I actually lost 1 BHP with the de-cat but torque improved as did throttle response, car was much sharper.
I'm suprised you don't have more BHP than that actually given your mods. Prob the massive drag factor of a superchip If I can manage 105.5bhp with a standard chip, then £ per BHP increase was better on mine that yours. The inlet must have cost you a bit too.

the chip gained me 5bhp and 2ftlb torque, but it also took out a huge flat spot i had, made car alot more responcive!

Still, thought you would have more than that with a Lexmaul inlet??

The Lexmaul inlet manifold doesnt give very good gains tho, compared to Mantzel anyway.

Mine ran 114bhp & 110 lbs/ft, with BFO cone, decat, and a Powerflow split-exit exhaust (now removed).
1.6 16v, by the way...

hi mark
yeh i agree chris ive got 1.6 16v but used to have 1.4 16v, thing is im gonna spend like 2000 quid getting the 1.6 16v up to like 130-140 bhp
when for 1500 i can get a 2.0 16v so i am spoke to beardy and he is gonna do it for me in new year mean time im gonna kill me 1600 lol
nothin beats cc and size of an engine plus the c20xe has 160 bhp standard easily 200 bhp with few mods so!!!!!!!!!!
ive seen the light i think sure 1.4 16v engines are gr8 tuned but end of the day ull never be happy til u get a 2.0 16v specially since i experienced it lol

insurance for one, and the 1.6 will handle better imo! also the re-sale value of a 2.0ltr is not much!
