Anyone else found intermittent problems with the windscreen wash squirters. Mine seem to work all year, then stop over the winter when i most need it! Its not coz the fluid is freezing, or because of a leak. Last time it stopped working the garage said the motor may need replacing, but before they could do the work, it started working again.

its because its frozen, you can put stuff in it to stop it freezing (or have heated jets like me )
also, running the washer motor when its frozen will burn it out

at this post. washer fluid is freezing in the pipes before it reaches the jets. Get some strong washer fluid and mix 70/30 with water, 70 being water. If you live up in scotland, think about using 50/50 to stop freezing.

koolkorsa - your kinda right, though things get dicey once there's salt on the roads. I can't be leaning out the window on the motoway, trying to pour water on the screen again!
