Glad you enjoyed it. Took it out today for a spin but one of the wires from the coil pack is faulty - think it got bent when I was fiddling around trying to sort out the gearbox prob I had last month. Getting the soldering iron out this weekend - it's not much fun on 2 cylinders...

No probs - will be glad to help. Steve's a top man, so anytime you fancy a gander at his astra, just give me a shout. It's only one wire needs replacing on the Corsa, Shouldn't take more than 20 mins

TBs are great fun, but it probably wont compare to the buzz of a decent bike. Ultimatly it depends on whether or not you want a bike or not?

There will be added expenses to a bike, 2 mots, tax, insurance etc etc

I love throttle bodies, but not enough over a whole bike. I'd change the bike choice though

I used to have a VFR 400, it was a little rocket, but not very practical (single seat race rep)so i sold it to insure my corsa. like somebody above said, if you dont fall off your bike, some cunt in a white van will certainly give you a helping hand.
i must admit since owning a bike, my driving behavoiur has calmed down considerably, i think its cos of the performance difference (still cane the tats off me car like!)

i'd say go for the bike, cos of high fun factor, but expect to pay as much insurance as on yer car cos they're lethal.

and if not the bike, maybe just a faster car

Hi mate its my shit username for all forums i just dont post very often unless i have something constructive to say.

Car is very nearly there all i have left to do is sort out my throttle cable, setup tb's again and replace my dodgy battery and it should be sorted. The straight cut gears are bloody noisy tho and i have just swapped the alloy cage for a proper safety devices one with door bars so getting in and out is a chore.
Next on the list is an internal fuel tank (got one 2cnd hand on mig) and then try to beat your time for 1/4 mile at santa pod, think i'll need a bit of engine work for that mind

GSXR600 m8 the thing could eat most cars on the road and a 1.6 on TB could just about beat a 2lt 16v corsa

keep the corsa for everyday use and get the bike for fun/weekend/toy

thats what i have

I've got a SD cage for mine since I saw you as well, a nice white one

I've got the door bars, but haven't fitted them as I like to keep shite in my doorcard pockets, and keeping the weight down!

I might get a ATB LSD, cant decide if its worth the expense at the moment. You must have one?

I want to do a 13.8 next year

Yer i got the diff in but i couldnt tell you what it behaves like or if it is worth the £500 as i am yet to drive the car.
Did you buy bens (lurk75) cage the one with extra diagonals? I was looking at that its nice.

What are your plans for the 13.8 spec then i think i am going to struggle to make 14.5s on my present engine spec tbh the massively long quaife 1st gear isnt that crash hot for good 1/4 times as seen on lee hearseys car. Have you thought about fitting plastic windows yet?
