I'm gonna get a set pretty soon,I've got the Apex spring and shock set up on at the mo which has been fine but I'd prefer something a bit better now the 2ltr is in.
Just wondered which ones you recommend, the FK kit from PVD at £500 looks pretty reasonable

Just been on their site but they are a fair bit out of my price range,I've only just payed for the conversion, a grand on suspension is a bit much at the mo!! Would you recommend the FK kit as a budget alternative?

Budget are a bad fit on Vauxhalls and need spacers to clear the wheels and unless you've got really mad euro-style arches, it's not something I'd recommend.
Dave, give PVD a shout on Monday

Also, FK HighSport coilovers are designed with road use in mind, so give excellent ride comfort whist still keeping the car stuck to the tarmac around corners.
Other coilover units like Avo's Evo kit are motorsport derived so sacrifice a lot of comfort to get a coilover system.

this all depends on how you set them up tho, if i raised mine from the lowest setting i could aloow them to go softer and therfore alot more comfort could be gained, but if they are low then i have them on hard so they dont bottom out all the time! its a catch 22! the rear spring are just lost with the avos, the fk have a different system tho i believe

just to clear this up i'm presumming that coilovers are springs with a bigger diameter than the springs on the car that sit arround the exsisting springs giving u in affect 8 springs instead of 4 and therefore better road holding
Am i right or completely wrong?

Coilovers
Normal Suspension
But with corsa's, the rear suspension even in a coilover kit is usually just a lowering spring & matched damper to replace the original ones. The front assembly are the only coilovers on the corsa

this is incorrect, some kits, like the fk ones use thios setup but some kits, like the avo ones use coil overs on the back! they are basically a damper which has a coil spring wound round it and and adjustable platform. look on pvd's web site, they have pics on their of the fk kits explaining what bit does what!
