yes u may be right cos i took it for a drive and the speedo wasnt moving. Also my cd player doesn't work and the heater lights etc. What could it be only the fuse? or is the speedo connected to the rest of the car?

First thing, check all the fuses. Might be fuse 12?

With the fuses in there already, you should be able to tell by looking at it, as the wire inside will be burnt. Best way is to use a buzzer tho, connect it to each end of the fuse, if a circuit is made the buzzer will sound, hence the fuse isn't blown.
