I started with standard wheels and tyres. I have 195/45/15 tyres on my 15" alloys at the moment.
I am putting 16" alloys, and don't want to affect my speedo, or acceleration.
So what profile tyre do I need on my 16" alloys? 195/40/16?
Cheers

99% of people use 195/45 because the 40 profile ones are like 80 quid each.
you will loose acceleration anyway cos the 16's will be heavier.

Just realised that after looking at prices!!
www.mytyres.net seems the best for prices.

Ive got a set of four Fulda 195/45/16's for sale - they are about £48 each on mytires.
I'll do them for £35 each inc postage.

I fyou can afford them, go for the 195/40/16 as the tyre wall looks soooo much thinner than the 195/45/16. However, u can pickup 195/45 for around £30-£40 per corner these days, so its whatever you can afford.
