100bhp
De-cat+ full exhaust (Manifold wont be needed) - Bought £300 in total.
Drilled airbox with K+N panel filter - £35 and 15 minutes of time
Superchip - Dunno, £200?
That will give you 99-103bhp.
Depending on the state of the engine, you may be able to get to about 99bhp without the chip. I know Andy Stockers car got to 99bhp with induction kit, de-cat and full powerflow system. Rolling road was very accurate too.

Vauxhall engines just dont go with induction kits. Granted the 1.4 and 1.6 16v sound fantastic with them, but performance wise, they are pants. Keeping the original airbox and drilling it fromt he bottom stops the heat from getting into the engine.

daimo, the 2001 pics are the ones I saw and got my inspiration!
Ive got rage backbox with new s/s pipework from the cat with no middle silencer. Is there any way i can keep whats just been done to convert it to a full system? JUst its set me back £210 all together and I feel its not worth it at all ?

Nahh thats ok. I say full system but i mean CAT back. Next up look at an exhaust manifold. Janspeed have a mild steel one at £190. Should give around 3-4bhp but much better mid range. Lexmaul do a stainless version but is a lot mroe expensive at £315 odd. Acompany that with a de-cat and 3 figure bhp should be acheivable.
Then its onto things like inlet manifolds etc

So, there's no way I can convert what i have to a full de-cat system then? I wouldnt mind payin the bit extra. Just, i feel what ive had done was a waste of money as I aint really got any performance gain, and its too loud for my liking!

drill airbox sketch
drill on the front left and up beside the wing.not near the engine or it will kill performance
