i tried one of these out and did seem to get a few extra miles out of a gallon if driving sensibly. If you want your car to sound deeper try a K&N air filter induction thingy

all they do is bleed air into the fuel and weaken the fuel pressure hence why u get a few more mpg and sound like a wet fart. a power boost valve is a better bet.

and decrease performance due to lower fuel pressure, the pre-ecotec engine were more powerful.

i had 1 fitted about a month ago and i noticed straight away that it sorted out my flat spot problems through the gears, before i could get 80 mph up a certian hill, after i got 5mph more. i know it dont sound like much and the hype on the net makes them out to be the dogs bolloxs, but 4 £45 u cant expect it to be like a turbo and make ur car go from 0-60 as fast as a scooby, but im definatly glad i put 1 on. i also like the wet fart sound it makes. (gives the car more character).

i have one in my 1litre had it for 6 months, it does make a difference to the power, makes acceleration smoother etc, there is a guy called tim on there forums who will answer any question you have about it, he will even ring you if you want him too!
it doesnt save much petrol though and i think it worsens mpg if you rag your car.

they are easy to fit but, it doesnt go on your fuel line, it goes on your brake servo pump line into the block, although i have heard somewhere that the servo pipe is unsuitible on a single point injection car, if your unsure i would give the guy of ecotek a call he is called tim and he will sort you out.

They do work, but as said, they dont do all that much, dont expect miracles.
How do they lower the fuel pressure?
