I have the infinity 655cs front components and i need to fit them. so i asked the bloke at halfords and he sold me sum 130mm (13cm) autolead speaker adaptors. are these wrong? im guessing they are.

no you haven't.
you just don't use the spacer. Just bolt the speaker onto the ring itself (which is 17cm)
i have the same speakers as you, and they will fit. But you may have trouble with the window not winding all the way down, due to the magnet.
