Ive just got the 501BD and the RFD2212, its pretty damn loud! and hits really low and hard, but RUN THE SUB IN on half power for a few days even a week cuz i blew my first one up!!!
And u wont get the subs any cheaper than that at the moment cuz mine is the same speaker just dual 4ohm, and the cheapest i found online was about £180

Well it explains it all on that link above really.
Bascially if u get two 2ohm subs, how are you going to connect them to that amp ? are you gonna connect them so its a 2ohm load on the amp, if you are you will have to wire the coils on each sub in SERIAL, then wire both subs in PARALLEL
In the manual with the sub or amp it gives all possible connections and diagrams
Id run both as a total of 2 ohms on the amp

cheers mate.
Im a novice at all this wiring stuff with the subs and amp, basically, what im gonna do is to take the stuff and pay someone to install it for me lol
But as long as its possible to power the subs with the 1001BD amp i just bought then its ok! otherwise i would have been gutted.

i've recently been doing research on my new install... couple of great websites to try:
www.talkaudio.co.uk - forum with loads of fantastic advice, and lots of knowledgable people
www.caraudiodirect.co.uk - audio equipment at good prices
Hope that helps
