i have the proximity sensor on my toad, its really crap, you can stand next to the car and it wont go off but the fucking rain sets it off, its wierd. also its so fucking quiet people cant here it, if you want proixity sensors get a clifford cos there one is a million times better.

Why do you need to turn it off?? Its gonna cost about £90 as an extra, so you would wanna use it as much as possible
Clifford 300 is supposed to be good, not sure on price exactly though.....
At the moment Im looking at getthing the 300 with the proximity bleep, but would be better if It could all work from my vauxhall keyfob instead of having to use a seperate one..... - is this possible??

thats is gay chris, the rain sets it of but standing next to the car doesnt maybe urs wasnt set up right eg. sensors r too sensitive or they r placed in the wrong place!
how much extra is the proximity feature on the toad? has anyone else got this on their toad alarm?
cheers,

its not sensors, you get a box which detects via microwaves. certain parts of the car set it off more, like the windscreen. some twats stole my dust caps and it didnt go off, but i woke up one morning with the alarm going off when there was heavy rain.

how much is the proximity add on??????
so u recon chris i should get it (im still gettin the toad ai606 alarm though )

im in the same boat,
the company im going to (sextons) want an extra 120 for the sensors, a company localy only want 50.
sextons said that 120 is just the price part and they cant understand how they can sell it for 50.
however u all seem to think its 50ish also.
What other extras can u get for the Toad alarms?
aint there a tilt sensor extra thingie too?

yea tilt is about 120 i think...but in theroy u shouldnt need the tilt sensor, coz the proximity sensor should set the alarm off! (so i assume/hope!!!)

wen i go to uni my car is locked up at home in my garage and i disconnect the battery (so it dont go flat!)
with the toad ai606, is it just a case of turning the alarm off and disconnecting the battery? how u turn the alarm off? is it the pin overide thingy?
cheers,
james.

on my clifford you have to turn the alram off the disconect the battery, then lock buy key orthewise the alarm detects the voltage drop and goes off.
as with the proximity sensor, you can turn the cifford on off and on quite easily.
as with it setting it off some times and not others, it will be more sensitive in glassed areas than metal as the waves penitrate more.
the anti tilt sensor is well worth the money, you have to get it ajusted tho otherwise lorries and stuff going past it will set it off!

look in your manual, thell be the deactivation process in there, the cliff net wizard is well worth it, then you can change loads of stuff and the cliff of a mouse!
