Just a question to everyone who has totally change thier car, ie; full kit, wheels, engine, etc.

How did u afford all of the work done?

Im a student and work part-time and i find it takes a while to do even small things.

saved up to pay for the wheels & suspension n bits, managed to get wheels & pay the shop off £50 a week, did the fitting work myself

1st year apprentice so find it quite hard 2 pay 4 mine but its ettin there jus takes time mate

yup..very true..

not sure if im gonna be a student for much longer..i think i may venture into the job world insurance is soo expensive thats where alot goes every month

i buy and sell a lot to make money

had the car a year without even working once lol

parents dont pay anything too

Yea, if its your first car and its not brand new then have a go at stuff yourself, its the only way to learn and you'll save a fortune in the long run. Look at Marv's, would have cost a firtune at a bodyshop and they probably wouldn't have done such a good job!

Work a stupid amount of hours a week at work, tis so booring but when i get asked to saty and do overtime i just consider it to be another engne part, breaks etc

ner, i dont think am gonna sell it, i have 49 weeks of training tho so during that time my car will be at my house i recon as i cant take it with me, after that i can have my car with me + i'll b earning quite a bit so it shud b easier

working part time on gap year and yeah, it takes ages to save up! Ive built a few computers for people to make a bit of extra cash

loans!!! I thought feck it you only live once and got me a loan!! I do earn quite a bit tho so paying it off isnt a problem!! Although ive recently moved out and rent aint cheap!!!

loans are all well and good if you can definatly afford the payments tho...if u've just got part time job etc i wouldnt advise it!!

well the student loan has already been taken out and is only paid back when i get a full time job, earning over 14 or 15k i think.
