Yo peeps, ive got me 1.2 Corsa and ive done a fair bit to it over the last year, im thinking as well of changin it as its a new year to perhaps a 1.6 zetec s. Ive been getting insurance quuotes, and its actually cheaper to insure that, than it is my 1.2 corsa!

Who thinks zs's are good? or bad? and has anyone else got any ideas of a different car i could buy. buget is 5-6k and insurance group is about 8 or 9 me thinks.

i dont like fords much tbh, apart from the st220 mondeos, focus etc. I just think the interior of the zetec s is a bit too boring imo, and 106 odd bhp for a 1.6? the 1.4 sport has 90 summit, someone correct me, lol.

corsa sport has 106bhp

both the zetec-s and the sport are fairly slow to 100mph, but the sport makes 60mph by about a second faster (standard)

zetec-s is not impressive, and in the price range its aimed at there are quicker cars with better handling.

They look nice, handle well but are about as fast as a Corsa 1.4 16v Sport.

I would'nt bother.

Mates got zetec s pretty standard looking, lowered, exhaust manifold------> stainless, buckets, loads of engine tuning bout £132 bhp at min, goes really well, jus come back from scarborough and it pulled well.

There just as fast as the 1.6 sport...and with a lower insurance group...7 instead of 10 for the sport your laughin...also they look 100 times better standard (which mine is)

Can look nice and not bad insurance for money, quite well put together for a ford, bit boring but what aint

hes probably right, on a stock zetec s. his diesel makes slightly less bhp but substantially more torque
