Jan 2002 2dr 2.0 16v Turbo (according to your miraculously appearing figures, which you no doubt googled up) that would mean I only had 197bhp to start with, first off, the standard book power of the 2000-2002 2d Coupe's is 192PS, which when stated in BHP is 192x1.0138, which gives a BHP of 194.6, so wherever you got the figure from you would be wrong. Total Vauxhall also states a bhp of 200 for this model of car, which is incorrect, whereas the 2002-> Mk4 GSi DOES HAVE 200bhp out of the same lump as standard...
My car was taken to Courtenay within the first 10 days I had it in my possession...as I have had then work on all 4 of my tuned astra's before this one...
First off the car was rolling roaded to see what she had standard, which was a surprising 208bhp (oh my does that not tally up either kiddo).
CS2 package was purchased and parts fitted...and the resulting figure of 254bhp was had....
!!!!ONCE AGAIN KIDDO, AT LEAST KNOW WTF YOU ARE TALKING ABOUT, OTHERWISE YOU JUST GET LAUGHED AT!!!!!

Just to confirm what Jason says.
My boyfriend has had the Regal Phase 2 conversion on his Astra Coupe (same as the Courtenay Phase 3).
He had it dyno'd before and after, it was 199bhp before, 254bhp after.
He has the graphs to prove it.
It is a March 01 model.

Hi,
The car does not look or sound any different (apart from the dump valve and the rev limiter raise), it looks standard.
You don't get big gains from exhausts and filters in fact you will lose the back pressure and in some cases even lose bhp.
All exhausts really do is sound good and look great.
The same reason the z3 roadster is down on the m3 with the same engine, the exhaust is too short to create the required pressure.
Big power gains come from increasing the boost on the turbo and the larger intercooler reducing the air temp hence making it more dense and hence cramming more air in, in turn causing the ecu to inject more fuel making a bigger bang.
It really is such a difference in power, Regal do a great job!
Regards
Rich.

Thanks Jason, neither is the Corsa. Remember the corsa came bottom for driveability in the top gear survey last year. But this post is not for slagging is it, its about how much power there is in the Z20LET.
If its not that much of a great car, then why do Vauxhall use it in the BTCC?
Regal also do a phase 3 for 280bhp which includes a bigger turbo, and a phase 4 giving 310bhp which includes head work inc new cams.
The Z20LET is a fantastic engine, if you have been watching Top Gear recently, you will have noticed that the VX220 Turbo won car of the year award, mainly because of the Z20LET engine.
Rich.
