decided to whip my rocker cover off and give it a good clean in preparation for a few mods coming soon. I knew it was going to be messy but christ -





The 2 breather pipes near the airflow meter were completely blocked

Its much cleaner now tho

also have you got latest copy of tatal vaux i think they show you how to do the breather mod

I bet mine wont be much better when I do the breather mod. how hard was it to clean up and did you buy the part that stops the oil from splashing about?? I think courtney sell it for £20.

hey... what do you mean even mine was cleaner!!

I changed the oil in my c20xe about avery 1500miles

mm mmm mmmm... think i had a cracked head tho... leading to the big ends lettign go.... pure speculation tho

i seen that thing from courtney, gonna make my own for about 50p. its just a bent bit of metal with some holes in it I used some of that Gunk stuff and a wire brush to clean it, it was taking ages tho so i gave up. Do the rest on Saturday

But why do you need the bottle? Thought the breather crankcase filter was all you need?

To catch the oil that would normally carry on into the inlet manifold. U get oil surge with or without the breather mod

Its not a kit...... i bought a few bits n bots from halfords..

PiperX - breather
2 o3 3 jubilee clipys
a few m's of hose
a mafco T piece

I drilled holes in the metal 'cap' that sits inside the rocker cover.... its held in by bolts and runner adhesive shit
