if this is one of the alpine unites with a earth wire seperate to the ISO block then if you aint going to run a compotition standard system then you can run it into the factory HU earth. cut and join. simple.
if it isn't a seperate earth wire then totaly ignore me............

thought these needed to be hardwired to the battery coz they got a built in amp, my old fella has one, it works with a good earth and standard vaux iso but when you crank up the volume it cuts out and re-starts

Thats what i thought Brezzecorsa, WTF are you chatting about , NO ! you DO NEED TO CONNECT THE EARTH !!! otherwise it dont work and "the arial is the earth"?? where in hell did you get that from? the arial lead does what it says, connects it to the arial, it doesnt ground the power connection
T.corsa, its looking good mate yea ive heard the alpines can be alittle bit tricky to fit - ie: not your usual, pull out old one wack in new one But then again, if your whole system was gonna run from amps then you wont have to go through wiring a direct connection to the HU
