Right ive got my JL 3 ways now and about to start my builds, im gonna use MDF base then MDF rings on stilts in position and then stretch cloth(old t-shirt or something similar) over the top and staple into place, then paint resin on

But what should i do next, should apply matt and then loadsa resin or use something else as ive heard matt can get everywhere and can be very harmful if it gets in your skin

So what should i use

I will finish off with abit of P38 on top to give good finish, but will be covered in foam then alcantara so dont need a paintable finish

if you want the speakers to have a good sound then i personaly think you sould do at least one layer of matting just so the filler on top has a solid base.
the cloth or t-shirt will flex more than matting.
