remember you need a way of opening the doors from the outside - i.e a little button under the wing mirror!

Yeh is sommet u can do
Not legal requirement tho, an lets face it,
In an accident, Emergency services aint gonna hunt around for a hidden button, smash window (if aint smashed already) an open from inside... Same way MOT man usually does it (if u remember to leave your windows down!)

It's not, the law/DOT covers it if u can open it using the handle from the inside...
MOT is fine if the guy can put his hand in an open it...

Phoned Local Police, and the central DOT offices about it and it's perfectly legal...
Ev. car we've done without any external buttons etc. all pass their MOT every time...

if you say so, only quoting what I've been told and have read.

/quote Reason for Rejection:
a. A driver's or any passengers door does not latch securely in the closed position
b. a driver's or front passenger's door cannot be opened from both inside and outside the vehicle from the relevant control in each case.

Fairy nuff, but the relevant control can be the same as the inside one... As long as windows are left down for the MOT... Then the tester is still on the outside...
