Just aquired a complete suspension and brake assembley from a corsa C Sri.(Shocks, springs, Discs, calipers and pads)
A few questions if anyone knows.
1)Are the shocks on the Sri 1.4 the same as 1.2 sxi? If they are, I will just have the springs fitted.
2) Also, my car doesnt have ABS but the SRi does. Does this matter when fitting the discs and calipers.
Cheers.

shocks are probably the same on all corsa c models,
makes no difference fitting the calipers if they came from a car with abs or not, they will go straight on.

I think the shocks are the same on the 1.4 SRi as the SXi but they are different on the 1.8, I am not sure thats it but i may be right.

its not right, the early 1.7DTi SXi corsa has the uprated shocks and springs but the 1.2 has never had it. The SRi has always has it in 1.4 and 1.8

The 1.8 has stiffer springs and uprated shocks. It also has been marginallly dropped. I don't believe this is the case with the 1.4. Which version of the SRi did you 'acquire' the parts from?

They are off a 1.4. Im sure the springs are 15mm lower, I just wanted to know if the shocks were any different. Everybody seems to think different now.
Im confused again.

says in vauxhall corsa brochure, Suspension uprated and lowered by 15mm on SRi models and on vauxhall website it says Expression "Sports suspension with uprated and lowered springs " As i said its ALL the SRi's and a few of the early turbo diesel SXi's that have uprated shocks and springs

abs is now standard on all facelift corsa's apart from the base model 1.0 expression but all new cars must have abs by 2005 i heard somewhere

When they out 16" wheels on the SRi, they changed the suspension from that used when they had the 15" wheels.
The SXi seemingly has better suspension than other 1.2's if you put the 15" rims on a Comfort like my mate did, it doesnt handle as well.
The Diesels had the uprated suspension cos the engine is heavier and it needs it, same on some Peugeot diesels and fords.
