right ive had my clio 16v for 4 months now, love it loads, but in the 4 months ive spent £1200 fixing bits on it (new gearbox, engine mounts, starter motor, driveshafts) i bought the car for £3500 so take the money ive spent on it and i could have had myself a much newer and reliable car for about £4.7k

the clio looks ace, slammed on big rims, and its fast aswell but im just sick of it being off the road for the odd week here and there, and its puttin a strain on my friends and family when i have to put them out and beg for lifts

i really really would like to keep the valver but its just costing too much

so do i:

sell up and buy saxo vts (always liked em)
sell up and buy 106 gti
sell up and buy sumthin else
keep it

if i get a new car i'll be looking to spend £5.5k so any ideas?? must be a fast car so dont even suggest buying a corsa

nah i want a car that i dont have to mess about with str8 away, if i got a corsa id have to source a decent xe engine, find a decent conversion company, id be without the car for a while, then id have to buy coilovers and bigger brakes str8 away which would most probably leave me skint

2 much hassle for right now, but one day

No car handles superb as standard really. 106/Saxo does handle well as standard, but as with any modified car, you want to go round bends properly then you would need to buy coilovers, struts etc anyway so in effect both equal each other out.
