ignore all this, if u wanna cut it,its simple, bit off the left bit off the right. angle grinder does the job. your combat front will go on and u still have your nudge bar.

keep the bar on, its much cheaper than a new radiator / engine parts if u have a small front end shunt.

dont cut the bar, if you do it will SERIOUSLY weaken it! plus then if you do have a crash, instead of it bending in like its designed to, after you cut it it can just snap and cause shit loads of more damage than not having it there! its either a case of taking it off or leaving it on & getting another bumper which can be fit over the top of it.

removing it wont invalidate your insurance, but just let them know about it though as they will pick up on this if you do crash.

if anything, its there to absorb the impact of a frontal smash, but think about it...

if you leave it on & still fit an after market bumper, if you have a front smash, you still have to fork out for a new bumper, plus the bar crumples in the middle so it would also wipe the radiator out regardless of whether its there or not!

just don't cut it, your a fool if you do!

i disagree, mines strong, took a small hit already still strong. its not a matter of totaly cuttin it up just a trim off the sides so your bumper can fit. your a fool if u dont

in my experience this bar does a lot to protect the engine/front of the car, it didnt come anywhere near the radiator,

which bumper are you trying to fit?

you must of been going at 2mph then!

here are pics of when I hit a car at around 15mpg, kinda nose to nose, 45degree angle roughly.. doesnt look too bad here, was able to repair the slam panel & wing with a bit of beating, but needed new bonnet...

doesn't look too bad, i'd say the crash bar did a good job wouldnt you??

...

but look at this

looking to the car from front, look where the mounting pount for the crash bar is, and you'll notice it absorbed the impact, but also buckled the front panel & twisted the chassis leg slightly... was repairable, but a complete pain in the arse.

and still needed a new radiator because it crumpled in the middle still!

Dont take it off, I had an accident a few weeks ago and that bar saved the car from being writen off, that bar ended up hitting the radiator and knocking it off its mounting, it saved the radiator, all the radiator has is just dents in the fins but its still reusable, if it wasnt there there would be no doubt the damage would have been worse, it might have taken the radiator, fan and maybe the exhaust manifold along with the sensors that go with it (expensive).
