I know there pretty rare, see a heavily modifed one in a mag a few years back. Nissan 300ZX Convertable. NOT the Targa Top, a complete convertable. Driven by some poncy old business man on his way to wrok
Such a waste, it really looked nice Anyone got any pics of the convertable 300?

300zx TT are group 18 insurance, the import ones are more expensive than UK cars.
The convertable is only avalible as a N/A not TT
So doesn't have anywhere near the same performance as the TT.
Here's the one I used to own, a UK TT with leather.
A stunning car that was fantastic to drive.
3.0 V6 24v, Quad cam with varible valve timing and two T22 turbos.
very comfortable seats with leather, heated and all electric.
Cruise control, Climate control, anti-squat self adjusting suspension, variable speed steering.
You name it, it had it.
It was a little lardy at 1600 kgs and my shocks were knackered so it was wallowy round bends.
Still 280BHP with 290lbs of torque.
Massive costs in servicing and fuel.
Spark plugs were £90 and it needs two air filters etc...
I could get through £20 of optimax in 45miles though
Fantastic motor and when I start getting some cash again I will get one again.
Loved it...

Paul_J thats a T-Bar 300zx, the convertible is a 2+2 SWB
they are quite rare & well sought after by some people, also nearly twice the price of similiar-spec'd TT's

One owned by a mate a while back:
Unfortunately, before the day was over, it looked like this:
Taken out by some idiot undertaking someone who'd flashed him across the road, as he was pulling into the pub we went to after the rolling-road session.

It wasn't, nope......the cost started off with him paying the tow-truck £300 (I think) to carry him back from Yorkshire to Liverpool, rather than the nearest garage...

yes it's missing the stock spoiler, it's a jap thing.. they all starting to like their cars without spoilers.. loads of rx7's supra's zx's etc.. spoilerless in the auctions.
