Where do I get the matt silver colour from
ie halfords - but what paint code is it?

On 52 and newer models its a much lighter silver, i used Vauxhall Astro Silver, and didn't lacquer it. Its a pretty good colour match. Look in my garage for pics

What are you spraying? Also it depends if you want to keep the textured effect or have it smooth

Ive got a 52 but its the slightly darker colour so I used smoke silver and its pretty decent but I was stripping my dash down anyway so thought Id respray the original silver bits so that its all the same.
Id advise you to prime paint a few coats and lacquer a few coats as it might get a few knocks along the way

took an afternoon. Used the 3 for 2 offer at halfords, plastic primer, pug topaz blue paint & lacquer for 9.98 i think it was. Had nothing to do over summer!

did u pull out the various bites, ie door handles etc to do it or did u just mask them off?

take them off, dont spray anything anywhere near your interior, you will get paint everywhere.

i strongly advise you not to paint the instrument pod.i did mine and the glare was terrible sometimes you couldn't see out the screen

Spray your hazard button aswell it will finish it off nicely.

yeah whip the parts off, much easier out of the car, mite do the switch, but got no paint left!
get a bit of glare onthe windscreen but not too bad.

What paint did you buy ?
Also i agree with the comment about not spraying the instrument pod, i only sprayed the MFD surround and get quite a glare from that
