no lines mean no proof that you were speeding.

You can still be done for it, the lines are used in court if the charge is disputed. If you get a summons about it demand to see the pics and they shouldnt be able to prove anything without the lines to measure from.

i know alot of them use the lines, since they work out how long it took ya to get from the 1st to the 2nd then from the 2nd to the first, maiking it more accurate etc etc however, i thought they had newer ones which didnt need lines?? otherwise you would just look out for the white lines, slow down etc

same thin happened to me 2 weeks back.
drove about 35ish passed a new camera. it flashed, drove back and it had no lines and no camera warning signs.
So if i get a NIP thru the post (should have come by now) i know what i will be saying..
there is no way they can prove i was speeding, so i'm not worryign about it!

they have infrared cameras now that some of them dont even flash. got a mate who went on a course for a week had to go through the dartford tunnel, went speeding through it every day got four tickets by the end of the course, he didnt even realise he'd gone through a camera

They dont actually use the lines to measure your speed, this is done by the radar in the camera. The lines are only used for disputes over the charge in case the radar has misread the speed then the distance is measured,
