new inlet manifold to start, or throttle bodies! look at greasemonkey's spec in his garage for the inlet route, and Andy's spec for throttle bodies!

make sure you get a C16XE if your only gonna mildly tune the engine, if ya going full hog like throttle bodies etc then either the X16XE or C16XE would be fine

the c16xe, resoponds slightly better thant the x16xe to tuning, but as you say a x16xe will have less miles on it, also if ur going for a engine swop id personally want to rebuild it anyway, so age aint so much of a problem that way

As an example, the mantzel power air box for the 1.6 corsa engine, the gains are as follows
X16XE engine = 20BHP
C16XE engine = 22BHP
and its the same product you are bolting on to the engine, if your gaining a few BHP each time you make a mod one the C16XE over the X16XE it all adds up, but dont get me wrong the X16XE is a good engine, its totally up to you, if ya gonna re-build the engine before it goes in C16XE every time, if not just get a low milage X16XE
