Cav/Cally turbo, 16v GTE and the rest on tuning bits.
Or, a cheap Corsa, C20XE and some good brakes/suspension and a bit of engine work.

VTECs are 160bhp, my mates will stay with my corsa all day long in a straight line. was a while ago tho when mine was no well, i shall have to race him again
I dont think ur gsi will 'take one.' Have u not changed the inlet manifold as well?

Erm....the old H plate vtec's are shite...and yes my gsi does "take them" no problem, the del sol's are 160bhp and that might be a different story without NOS but that wasnt the question

yeah, if it's the b16a then it should be well rapid.
i had a later shape civic vti coupe with the same engine, and that was far faster than my 16v calibra.
the vtec is a cracking engine, but £3k is well overpriced as has been said already

this is my mates - http://public.fotki.com/50pence/carz/dscf0013.html - paid £2,800 for it. pretty nice and fast! since he bought it hes respayed it in blue/purple pearl (doesnt really show on the pics) added spoiler, loads of custom bits and bobs, had every dent taken out, M5 mirrors, bodykit smoothed in, new h/u... now selling for £4,000 i want it!
