percentage of what?
say you want to find out how much of a percentage 18 is of 55 you divide 18 by 55 then multiply by 100.
If you want to work out 70% of 63 you multiply 63 by 0.70. if you want to know what 158% of 82 is multiply 82 by 1.58

easy percentages is , if u want 10% of 100 ya knock an 0 off so its 10. so 20% of two hundred is 20(0)x 2=40
for 1% of sumthing stick a 0. infront , so 1 percent of 20 =0.20 , ya get me
?

pmsl , well i wud not say % is the most difficult think u come across in maths but is essential to know on a day-to-day basis!
so i thought if i explained it like that it wud be easier for him to understand! not that i think hes a dummy
