hi all. iv got a polo 1.4 16v 75bhp and i think its time to get something faster. i was thinking of getting a sri. can enybody tell me how they drive and what is top speed and are they worth getting.

The 1.4 16v does 0-60 in 10 Secs
The 1.8 16v does it in 8 secs
I'm hopefully getting the 1.8, i'll let you know when i have it lol

except from the engine what the diffrence between the sxi and the 1.4 sri because im not sure what to get

Wheels and a few other bits, also you can now get a 1.4 Sxi which comes with free insurance for people over 19.

i have the 1.4 sri facelift...main differences are:
seat trim, lowered 15mm, uprated shocks, nice sri spoiler, alooy pedals, front cross hatch grill...mines quite nippy, lovely little car!!

i paid the extra to get my sri and now vauxhall are bringing out a sh*tty sxi of almost exactly the same spec!
F*uckers!!! this is gonna bring the values of our sri's down to as now the sxi will probably be more wanted due to the lower insurance etc etc!!!!

There no point in the 1.4 SRi anymore. They should only have the 1.8 SRi now.

Yes it does build you ncb, had free insurance with vauxhall last year (on first car) now have 65% ncb with them

im 19 aswell so had to go in a higher interest bracket couldve got a same age sxi for 136 a month aswell which takes the piss - wish i had now.
gonna write to vauxhall and try and get some compensation - does anyone want a copy of the letter once finished?
