meeting someone off the internet and forming a relationship? anyone met their partner on the internet? im hearing of more and more people doing it lately and its coming quite common, i know several people say its sad to meet someone off the net, but do u think it matters where/how you meet? opinions please

i met selina over the net, been 2getha for nearly 3 years now,
the good side is:
get to really know the person
get to know if the person actually likes you
bad sides:
she / he may not look so good.

Main thing is if and when you meet them be sensible meet in a public place and tell plently of people where your going - kinda common sense tho....as for is it a good idea....every1 is different and if you think its a good idea then go for it sod every1 elses opinion!!

I think it's ok as long as said above, let people know you're going blah..
I personally wouldn't mind it, but never having tried it I wouldn't know the benefits
On the other hand alot of my mates would just take the piss but only because they have never been regular users of 'forums' etc I think if they were they would soon change there mind
