i hit 128mph in my 1.6 sport the on monday night (down a dual carriageway), and i wasnt far off the red line at that .....i think that it might have touched 130mph but i was running out of road and im not sure if the limiter would have kicked in by then as well

ive got an induction kit (BFO) and full de-cat stainless zorst system, so i guess that helped a little

.......whats everyone else getting out of their 1.6's

i think due to speedo error you actually got about 115 mph
my car has seen 125??? go figure?
more like it was 105 lll

by the books i think the top speed is 121mph

hey look guys i didn't come on here to be told i was talking bollocks or to be told my car wont do that
........that is the speed that my speedo said, admittadly it was down a hill not on the flat, but the speedo read 128mph and i have got 15" wheels so my speedo wont be out of sync!

your speedo will be out, they all are, you sport was not doing the speed it said it was, end of argument

i've hit just over 120mph on a flat motorway and i was racing a astra gte which conked out at 115, so i over took him! and before u say u should keep racing to the track it was a stupid hour in the morning and the motorway was well clear.

yes, 120mph minus 10% = 108.

your actual speed woud have been 108-115max

i know he was doing 115 cause he had a digi dash and my mate read it as we over took

FFS, my speedo at the Corsa Vs Saxo day was READING 130mph, but the Datatron equipment said I was doing 115mph.

I believe Patrick's speedo was reading about the same as mine.

Top book speed of Sport is 119mph. I just squeezed 134mph (Datron timed) and that's with 215bhp. A few extra mph requires a hell of lot more power

my 1.2 8v read a meety 110 down a big big hill running 14's so 99mph seems reasonable! and i've had a 115 out of a standard 1.5td! u lot and ur girly 1.6's! 1.2 has roughly 44hp an i'm only a little bit behind u all!

yeah before my rebuild when the engine was getting rela bad it wouldnt go above 115 on the clock, should get 130 on the clock after re-build well about 124mph actual speed

so my 1.2 sxi when it read 115 it wasn't.
when i had my nova i was caught racing on a dual lane carriageway and me n a mate both got caught doin 110. the coppers in a t5 volvo said they recorded 109mph. so when ppl say oh theyre out how does my speed n the coppers speed match up. cuz coppers have speedo heads calibrated at IRS in Nottingham.....ive done them

haha two stroke, think mine turned into a diesel/2 stroke hybrid, the smoke of a fook diesel and the oil burning capabilities of the 2 stroke

like i said it was DOWN a dual carriage way and it was close to red lining, the car was screaming its nutz off and i am pretty dam sure the car was at its max........why do so many posts have to turn into a feckin debate about whether or not the person asking the question is correct......just answer the question, if not dont reply at all
