Yes but revcounter reads wrong

This is true, it will over read by a mile.

I fitted a set of clocks out of a 1.4 16v and the rev counter went right round past 7k

Something to do with 3 cylinders instead of 4, I'm too tired to remember what though.

Yes i know this happens on normal clocks with rev counters.

However, seen as it is possible to get a rev counter reading correctly on a 12V (3 cylinder) , then i see no real problem why the digi shouldnt with a little bit of help.

Could be my next mission

Some 12v come with rev counters as standard, mine did.

As far as I know these are the only ones that are accurate as they count 3 pulses per revolution.

Yes, as does mine at the moment.

I should hopefully be able to transfer the wiring and so on from my original rev counter, onto a digi dash.......... and fingers crossed i'll have the first full working digi dashed 3 cylinder engine

Something to be proud of
