You're supposed to, but there may be a number of reasons why you're not. The fact that it's completely wide of the mark and obviously requiring deletion may be one, as may it being one of an entire set of similar posts which have also gone.

Generally if you need to ask you either need to be more familar with our policies on things, or there has been a problem in the decision which I'll gladly look in to.

As I said in the other thread Drew, this is a good idea which I'm well up for.

This together with logging every other adminstrative function including merging and splitting threads.
