I no this has got fook all 2 do with corsas
unless there are any crazy peeps with 2.0 turbo corsas in hear
but i was just wanted to know wot u peeps like the sound of most?

Personaly i like the sound of a dump valve because u instantly no it a turbo

But!!
I am in love with chatter

Even tho its more descrete sound unless ur runnin stupidly high boost pressure i think its a proper turbo noise.
Its lovely Makes me shiver
Wot do u peeps think?

Chatter is a noise not a thing.

defanition of chatter

To put it as simply as possible, this phenomenon is caused when the pressure ratio across the compressor side of the turbo becomes large enough to cause a flow reversal aross the compressor wheel. In effect the pressure in the intake manifold downstream of the turbo becomes high enough for air to flow backwards through the turbo for a split second. This has the effect of lowering the pressure in the manifold, and hence causing the flow reversal to stop. Of course as soon as this occurs the pressure downstream of the compressor can recover again and the whole process is repeated. This will happen at a fairly low frequency - say a couple of hertz and the pressure waves present in the inlet tract as a result will be audible.

basicaly wen you close the throtel boost pressure flows backwards for a split second and causes a realy cool noise

yes but it's not good to reverse the flow of air through the turbo.
