Hi,

I have a K&N Panel Filter coming and was wondering when I fit it should I then drill my Airbox??

But will this void my warranty??

My car insn't even a year old so don't want to loose my warranty.

buy an induction kit or some sort, when/if it goes in for warrenty, but the standard box back on.

and yes now, if you get your car serviced fully qualified mechanics, using all genuine parts - your warrenty will still remain.

The only way they would tell if it was drilled is if they removed it. I can see no reason why they would do this.

You can drill them anywhere you want.....

but thats the right place to drill them

Seriously though - I agree with CorSRi_BT but its better to be safe than sorry.

....

So what makes a fully qualified mechanic?? also you say genuine parts surely for a first service where they only change the oil and oil filter and possibly some other small things that would not be a problem.

A new bottom half of an air box from Vauxhall themselves still wouldn't be expensive. Just go and buy one for backup
