Having just got a new job i have decided to get a better car. Buying the car is not a problem but its the insurance. Anyone know good insurance companies as i can't justify paying £1600 insurance

there is no such thing as cheap insurance, they all rob us blind, thieving cunts, then refuse to pay out when you do claim.

i have a corsa td 5 door
my bro has a corsa td 5 door
all my mods are listed, so are his but he has less done.
im 21 (was 20 at the tiem i took the policy out) he is 18, both live at the same address. both have zero no claims. both with the same company
i paid £740 FC, he pays £1800 FC bloody stupid isnt it, my quote for next year is £365

im not suprized then, you will never get that for less than a grand at your age
best mate is 22, he has 1 years no claims and the cheapest he can insure his clio 1.8 16v is still over a grand. we live in a very low postcode catagory too.

elephant is only for 10 months, not 12. plus they rape your arse if you wanna pay monthly.
wat about an ibiza or a3 turbo, they are chepaer to insure, can chip them up to over 200 bhp anyway.

Yeh elephant allow 12 months, but as kris says they put up the premium when you ask to pay monthly. Still they were the cheapest by far for me- im 20 0 No claims and pay £1600 f/c on my 106 gti (group 13)

the cheapest way to pay monthly insurance is to get a credit card with either 6-9mths interest free, pay the insurance via that in one lump then pay the visa card off over 12mths
elephant arent as bad as you think, even adding your mother as a 2nd driver will drop it 20%

Stuck my mum and dad on there and it dropped it down considerably.
Good idea regarding the credit card Gambit, should have thought of that. The quote i got to pay it off in one amount was around £1300.
Although as a student i dont know if i could have got a credit card with a £1300 limit.
